Run for the Rolls – Annual 1 mile & new “5K race”

Welcome to the Run for the Rolls! 2015 marks our 9th year of Run for the Rolls. Our 1 mile short run down the Chelsea Fair Parade route is lined with approximately 3,000 spectators. Our 1 mile run is open to all ability levels and is a great family-friendly race. Age division winners receive the famous Common Grill rolls. Starting at 12:45 pm.
The new “5K race” will start at 12:30 pm same start area as the 1 mler, but will go off the parade route through the grounds of St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital, onto the walking path through Silver Maples Retirement Center, St. Marys Church and around to the hospital grounds entering back onto the parade route to join the 1 milers in a fast sprint to the finish line.
The races end on Old US 12 near the Chelsea Fair ground. Participants of all ages are cheered to the finish by spectators awaiting of the 1 p.m. fair parade. The Chelsea Fair Parade end at the Chelsea Fair grounds for a very fun day, just 15 minutes west of Ann Arbor, Michigan.

You can pre-register for the 1-mile and 5K run in person at Aberdeen Bike & Outdoors 1101 S Main St. on Friday, Aug. 28 from 3:30 to 7 p.m. or on race day starting at 9 a.m. outside Thompson’s Pizzeria 20700 Old US 12.
